Biography

Professional Statement:
As a dedicated nurse practitioner specializing in orthopedics, I'm passionate about delivering comprehensive, evidence-based care that empowers patients to regain mobility and improve their quality of life. My clinical experiences in orthopedic settings have honed my skills in diagnosing and managing various musculoskeletal conditions, from acute injuries to chronic disorders. I believe in a holistic approach incorporating patient education, shared decision-making and a multidisciplinary team collaboration. My commitment to professional development drives me to stay current with advancements in orthopedic practices and technologies, ultimately striving to enhance patient outcomes and promote a healthier community.

Why did you become a provider:
I became a nurse practitioner driven by a deep desire to make a meaningful impact on patients' lives and to advance my clinical skills beyond traditional nursing. I cherish the opportunity to build lasting relationships with patients and empower them to take charge of their health. Ultimately, becoming a nurse practitioner allows me to fulfill my ambition of delivering comprehensive care while educating patients for the health individuals and communities.

Medical Specialties or Special Interests:
When I graduated with my DNP, I received an emphasis on "rural populations." Considering we live in Iowa, which has many rural locations, I think it's best to try and put yourself in others shoes to see how their health can affect their lifestyle and vice versa.

What do you like to do in your free time?
In my free time, I enjoy being spending time with family and friends while also being in the garden.
