Professional Statement:
Childhood is such a meaningful and formative time, and I truly enjoy working with families to nurture their children’s growth and well-being. I bring a playful, curious spirit to my practice and meet each child with respect and attention. I believe emotional and physical health are equally important parts of thriving and am dedicated to promoting these alongside your family.
Why did you become a provider?
As a nurse practitioner, I can serve my community through forming relationships that are rooted in the passion for promoting child health and safety. It is a joy and a privilege to hear the stories each child and family share, to learn from their unique experiences, and to use these in combination with clinical knowledge to support well-being.
Why did you choose to join UnityPoint Health?
I’ve seen UnityPoint Health's mission, to improve the health of the people and communities we serve, in action and I am thrilled to join this continued effort.
What is the most important thing patients should know about you?
I step into each visit ready to be fully present with you and provide a welcoming space. The curiosity, energy, and individuality children bring to each day inspire me to keep creativity and joy at the heart of my work.
What is the ideal provider/patient relationship?
While the ideal provider/patient relationship is unique to each family, a foundation in which the provider listens deeply and responds with care is essential to building trust.
What do enjoy doing in your free time?
Exploring local parks with my family is my favorite way to spend my free time. I also enjoy reading, listening to jazz on vinyl, and playing trivia. Our Australian Shepherd keeps us active outdoors.
