About Danny Starr, PT, DPT, CMT
Biography
I became interested in physical therapy as a career when my mom had gone through rehab after a hip replacement. I graduated with my bachelor's degree in human physiology from the University of Iowa in 2017. I went to St. Ambrose University and graduated with my doctorate of physical therapy in 2020. Since then, I began my career with St. Luke's Therapy Plus – Marion, where I have spent my entire career working as a physical therapist. Over the years I have earned my certification of manual therapy (CMT) from St. Ambrose University in 2022. In 2024, I completed additional training to be qualified to work with patients with vestibular conditions, such as benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV). In 2025, I was promoted to senior physical therapist. I enjoy working with patients of all ages, social backgrounds, and physical ability to treat any and all orthopedic issues, as well as patients with vestibular conditions. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my wife and two children, playing chess, swimming, and cooking.
