Session Description: REWIND - Rediscovering the Beauty Within

In his intimate yet energized presentation of “Rediscovering The Beauty Within,” Sasha Joseph Neulinger invites audiences to understand the power and significance of choice. Recognizing his own personal crossroads at age 23, Sasha had to make one of the hardest, yet most important choices of his life. The follow-through on that choice would lead to a life-changing, direction-altering journey that birthed his Emmy Nominated film, REWIND, all while affording him the opportunity to triumph and reclaim ownership of his life despite his traumatic childhood. Utilizing photos and home videos as immersive aids, Sasha shares the most important lessons from his journey, how those lessons helped him, and how they may help others.

Objectives:

1) Inside the Mind of a Child Abuse Victim - Learning about the intimate thoughts, logic, and beliefs of a child sexual abuse victim while trapped in the secret (pre-intervention).

2) Secondary Trauma of the Prosecution Process - How absence of CAC, high profile nature of a case can negatively impact the prosecution and the mental health of the victim.

3) Effective Healing Practices/Positive Reinforcements for Survivors - How Sasha was able to shift his perceptions, thoughts, logic and beliefs, and what he uses today to positively reinforce a healthy life, post trauma.
