Prior to registering for this course, the participant should have taken "Newborn Foundation" or have a minimum of one years' experience taking care of healthy newborns in a hospital setting. This curriculum has been designed for those who are either new to caring for neonates in a level 3 or 4 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit or are looking to expand their nursing practice from other neonatal or pediatric backgrounds. This course is focused on caring for the critically ill hospitalized neonate. Skills and simulations included.
