UnityPoint Health – Robert Young Center is expanding its services in Iowa to meet the growing behavioral health needs of the Quad Cities community. Robert Young Center – Davenport is now to patients at 1704 East 54th Street, Davenport. The outpatient center offers individual and group counseling for all ages.
The new location expands Robert Young Center offerings to include support groups, behavioral health evaluations, therapy, counseling, care coordination and intensive outpatient programs. It also houses administrative offices.
“The need for behavioral health services is clear,” says Shawn Morrow, UnityPoint Health – Quad Cities/Muscatine President. “We want people to know we’re here for them on both sides of the river. By expanding our reach, we can offer care to more individuals, when and where they need it most.”
While the move marks an exciting new chapter, it builds upon a longstanding trusted foundation of behavioral mental health standards unmatched in the Quad Cities community.
In the past two years, Robert Young Center has seen an increase in demand for services and now supports 22,000 people, 45% of whom are in Iowa. From June through August alone, Robert Young Center opened 21 new provider slots, with more planned in the coming months.
“Mental health impacts evert part of a person’s life – from their relationships to their work and overall well-being,” says Dennis Duke, President of Robert Young Center. “That’s why we’re committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care that’s accessible and responsive to our community’s needs. For nearly 60 years, people across the Quad Cities and surrounding areas have trusted us during their most difficult moments.”
According to the 2024 Community Health Needs Assessment, mental health remains a top priority for Quad City residents. Nearly one third of those surveyed rated their mental health as “fair” or “poor,” higher than the national average of 24.4%.
UnityPoint Health – Robert Young Center is proud to be one of only nine agencies in Iowa and one of 15 in Illinois selected to participate in the Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) program. This program is designed to expand and improve access to a comprehensive range of mental health and substance use services across the United States.
