"Back and neck pain can be a debilitating experience both physically and emotionally. We are here to help our patients heal both components and get them back to an active lifestyle as soon as possible."

Medical Interests

Christy became interested in pursuing a career in health care after admiring how her mother, a nurse, cared for patients. Her interest in spine issues stemmed from having family members with spinal/back pain. Christy typically sees patients of varying ages experiencing disabling pain and numbness of weakness in their neck, arm(s), back or leg(s). She also sees patients with the following spinal conditions: lumbar disk herniation, spinal stenosis, cervical stenosis, scoliosis and spondylolisthesis.

Medical Philosophy

The most important thing patients should understand about Christy is that she is there for them. She makes sure all of her patients' needs and questions are answered before they leave the clinic. Christy understands how important family support is for a patient's healing and she will try her hardest to get patients as close to their previous level of functionality as possible given their individual condition.

Personal Interests

In her free time, Christy enjoys spending time with family, cooking and participating in outdoor activities such as running and various water sports. Christy and her husband are also involved with Blackhawk Church.

About Nurse Practitioners:

Nurse practitioners (NPs) are registered nurses with advanced training, national certification and state licensure as independent health care providers. NPs work in collaboration with physicians and other members of the health care team. They diagnose and treat patients, as well as provide necessary referrals and prescriptions. NPs have an important role to play with the health care system - the core philosophy of the field is individualized care. They focus on a patient's conditions, as well as the effects of illness on the lives of the patients and their families. NPs make prevention, wellness and patient education their priority.
