Child Advocacy Center
The St. Luke's Child Advocacy Center in Sioux City provides comprehensive services for children who may have been victims of abuse. Our multi-disciplinary team works with the Department of Human Services (DHS) and law enforcement in child abuse investigations, including treatment and follow-up services. Through advocacy efforts and educational offerings, our team is committed to the prevention of child abuse.
Interviews are only conducted for open DHS cases. To report suspected child abuse, call the Child Abuse Hotline at 1-800-362-2178.
Services
Our services are always free to the patients and families we serve. The Child Advocacy Center offers the following services and procedures:
- Child abuse services
- Forensic and evidentiary interviews
- Legal, emotional, medical and spiritual family support
- Pediatric Specialties
- Trauma evaluations
- Evaluations for general mental health or behavioral concerns
- Ongoing trauma-focused therapeutic services
Referrals
Referrals to the Child Advocacy Center are made by DHS and law enforcement agencies. Anyone may call the Child Advocacy Center for information regarding suspected child abuse and prevention of child abuse. St. Luke's Child Advocacy Center does not replicate any existing community services.
