Pediatric Cleft and Craniofacial Clinic
The team at Blank Children's Cleft and Craniofacial Clinic, a hospital outpatient department of UnityPoint Health – Des Moines – Iowa Methodist Medical Center, together with Iowa ENT, is expertly trained to care for children with cleft lip and palate or other craniofacial conditions.
We partner closely with families and work to restore normal function (feeding, speech and hearing) and facial form to support lifelong development and quality of life through staged treatment from infancy to adulthood.
Our multi-disciplinary team includes providers from:

What to Expect
Your first evaluation should ideally be either a prenatal consult or a visit within the first few weeks after birth. However, our clinic is also open to children establishing care at an older age. The first appointment will include a comprehensive evaluation. This visit will allow you the opportunity to ask questions and voice concerns while exploring treatment options.
