UnityPoint Health - Grinnell Offers Multiple Options to Get COVID-19 Vaccine

- Grinnell is pleased to offer our patients and communities multiple options to receive a COVID-19 vaccine. Through our hospital, clinics and public health team, our communities and patients can choose to receive the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine
or the Johnson & Johnson (Janssen) COVID-19 vaccine
Patients admitted to Grinnell Regional Medical Center (GRMC) will be offered the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine during their stay if they are not already vaccinated and meet the vaccine recommendations and requirements.
UnityPoint Health – Grinnell clinic patients can schedule an appointment to receive the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine at the Grinnell Family Practice Clinic
or Grinnell Internal Medicine Clinic
. It can be arranged to coincide with an upcoming appointment or be offered during a nurse visit appointment. Talk to your primary care provider or call (641) 236-2323
to reach your clinic team and express interest in receiving the COVID-19 vaccine.
The public health department
continues to offer both the Moderna and Johnson & Johnson (Janssen) COVID-19 vaccines by appointment. Interested persons can call (641) 236-2385
between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday – Friday to schedule an appointment for a COVID-19 vaccine. There is no patient requirement or UnityPoint Health affiliation status required to receive vaccination from public health.
It is important to remember that masks are still required at all UnityPoint Health – Grinnell locations where patient care is provided. Patients and visitors over age two and able to tolerate a mask or face covering should do so if entering a UnityPoint Health hospital or clinic. If you do not have a mask, one will be provided to you.
