New Walk-in Wellness Screenings

New Walk-in Wellness Screenings

Lab viles and microscope represent new walk-in wellness screening available at UnityPoint Health - Grinnell Regional Medical Center.

UnityPoint Health® – Grinnell Regional Medical Center (GRMC) launched a new laboratory wellness screening service in February. The intent is to provide an easy process for individuals to monitor their health. The screening is available as a walk-in, no appointment and no physicians’ orders need testing service.

“The blood tests and screenings available can help you manage your health or simply give you a peace of mind,” says Vicky Norrish, director of GRMC’s laboratory services. “This new service is a quick way to monitor your health. We encourage participants to talk to their primary care providers about any abnormal results.”

Fasting chemistry panels include chemistry panel and complete blood count, cholesterol profile, glucose, protein and several others. Non-fasting tests offered include complete blood count, TSH, PSA, testosterone and blood typing, among others. For the complete list, go to the GRMC website:

To access this service, individuals may request the tests at the GRMC admitting desk and pay for the tests selected. No insurance will be billed. Screening is available 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Results are mailed to the individual.
