UnityPoint Health - Finley Hospital is a recent recipient of the Silver Performance Achievement Award on the Chest Pain - MI Registry by the American College of Cardiology.
As the only hospital in Dubuque to receive this award, it's a recognition of the hospital's success in implementing a higher standard of care for heart attack patients by meeting aggressive performance measures.
Chad Wolbers, President and CEO of UnityPoint Health - Dubuque, said the cardiology team has gone above and beyond to achieve this honor.
"We're very proud of our entire service line team and the effort they've invested to ensure our patients receive amazing care," Wolbers said.
Geri Schilling-Johnson, Director of Clinic Operations, is proud of the high-quality care our cardiology clinic and staff at Finley Hospital provides to patients.
"While this achievement is great for our organization, it is a true reflection of the teamwork, expertise and passion our providers and team members display daily as they care for our patients by providing high quality care. Our cardiology team is truly outstanding," Schilling-Johnson said.
Finley Hospital is recognized by the American College of Cardiology for Cardiac Cath Lab and Chest Pain Center. The Cardiac Cath Lab honor recognizes the hospital for merging the latest evidence-based science and process improvement methodologies, while addressing pre-procedure and post-procedure care for patients undergoing treatment in the Cath Lab. The Chest Pain Center award highlights facilities for integrating triage treatment protocols, risk stratification and best practices for the emergency care of acute coronary syndrome patients.
