Blanket Gift to Wendt Center
Subaru Loves to Care, and recently they showed us just how much, by presenting the Wendt Regional Cancer Center with 80 blankets to provide to our patients undergoing oncology treatment with much needed support and warmth.
Subaru of America and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) are working together to provide “warmth” to those fighting cancer and their families, nationwide throughout the month long Subaru Loves to Care initiative in June.
The Finley Health Foundation was pleased to coordinate the acceptance of this gift with Riley’s Mazda / Subaru of Dubuque and the Iowa Chapter of LLS.
“The staff of Riley’s have all had loved ones touched by cancer,” remarked Jeff Haun, co-owner of Riley Subaru Mazda, “and we are pleased that we could give back in support the wonderful work the Wendt Center has done in our community.”
About the Program: The Subaru Loves to Care campaign has made an incredible impact, as 54 LLS chapters across the country partnered with 393 participating Subaru retailers to deliver over 30,000 blankets to patients undergoing cancer treatment at over 270 local hospitals and treatment centers nationwide. Together, LLS and Subaru are reaching and supporting patients, families and caregivers in their time of need. Through this initiative to raise awareness and funds for the urgent need to find cancer cures and ensure patients have access to lifesaving treatments, Subaru is helping LLS make someday, today, for blood cancer patients.
