New UnityPoint Clinic in Urbandale
by UnityPoint Health - Des Moines - September 25, 2020
In order to continue to meet the needs of our growing community, UnityPoint Clinic® recently completed construction on a new facility set to open September 25 in Urbandale. The new building is conveniently located off the interstate at 5200 NW 100th Street and replaces the previous location on 86th Street. The new clinic is approximately 14,000 square feet and houses Sports Medicine and Concussion, Physical Therapy and Urgent Care services.
The Sports Medicine and Concussion Center is a one-of-a-kind clinic in Central Iowa and is home to a highly-skilled team of experts specialized in the care of sports injuries and concussions, from diagnosis through recovery — all in one, convenient location. Amenities like adjustable lighting and black-out shades in patient rooms help patients suffering from concussions, while advanced technologies such as force-plates, visual-motor training, cognitive assessment software, gait tracks and sport turf will be used for sports-specific therapy patients.
This, along with other on-site therapy services and a walk-in urgent care clinic for non-emergency situations after hours and on holidays, ensures patients and athletes will have the care they need to get back in the game.
“We are very excited to offer our patients all the services this new facility will provide,” said Mike Namanny, Regional Vice President of Clinic Operations with UnityPoint Clinic – Central Iowa. “Along with the local convenience of the new location, patients statewide will have access to great, coordinated care and advanced technology when it comes to sports injury and concussion treatment.”
To reduce community spread of COVID-19, we're asking all patients to please call ahead before visiting a clinic. If you have a medical emergency, please call 911. Patients are also asked to a mask when coming to UnityPoint Clinic locations.
