About This ProviderPrint
Why did you become a provider?
I decided to become a medical provider because I wanted to be more directly involved with patient care. Working as a laboratory medical technologist, I was often left with the desire to know more about patients and their various medical problems. I wanted to know "who is this person?" and "what is their problem?" or "are they getting better?" As a medical provider, now I can answer all those questions and more. What a great honor!
What qualities best describe the care you provide to your patients?
Talking with patients is truly the best part of this profession. I enjoy the interaction that takes place between myself and the patient. So much of figuring out problems is through actually talking and listening. I believe I am thorough and detail oriented. I also like to hear a good joke, and I feel there is a strong need to have a good laugh every day!
Being a healthcare provider, what drives/motivates you each day?
My main focus each day is the discipline takes to be a better provider. It is all about learning. If I don't know something, where and how can I learn it? That shows professional growth.
