Dr. Dustin Arnold Named Iowa Osteopathic Medical Association's Physician of the Year
Dr. Dustin Arnold, St. Luke’s Chief Medical Officer, has been named Physician of the Year by the Iowa Osteopathic Medical Association (IOMA). The officers and trustees of the IOMA presents a Physician of the Year award to a member osteopathic physician who has exhibited a notable commitment to his or her profession, patients and colleagues.
“Dr. Arnold has exhibited extraordinary leadership at UnityPoint Health – St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids over many years,” said a colleague. “Both as a practicing physician and Chief Medical Officer, particularly during this past year with the COVID-19 pandemic.”
In 2020, Dr. Arnold was a leader in St. Luke’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic. He was heavily involved in operational decisions at St. Luke’s, was a regular at Linn County COVID-19 response press conferences, and a trusted voice for community members as host of a series of COVID-19 update podcasts where he shared the latest information listeners needed to know.
Dr. Arnold has worked at St. Luke’s since 2005. He is a graduate of Des Moines University, College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery and is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
