Basics of Breastfeeding 2 - Virtual: Home, Pump and Work (5/20/24)

Live Virtual Class

Whether exclusively pumping or moving towards pumping, in Basics of Breastfeeding 2 - Virtual a breastfeeding specialist will teach you how to continue to provide milk to your baby after you return home. This class will cover how to put together and use a pump and when to begin pumping. We will also discuss when, and how, to start offering a bottle to your baby. This helps you prepare for your return to activities, work, or school. Providing your milk to your baby can help ease these important transitions.

Along with discussing pumping equipment, we will teach you how to safely store breastmilk, clean all the equipment and offer ideas for working with your infant's daycare provider.

An experienced breastfeeding educator will meet with you virtually for this session. During class, you can talk to an expert who can answer your questions in real time.

If you plan to begin breastfeeding and move to pumping, we encourage you to also take Basics of Breastfeeding 1-Virtual. If you plan to exclusively pump, Basics of Breastfeeding 2-Virtual can be taken independently. This class can be taken either before delivery or within the first weeks of returning home.
