From the East

Take the Beltline (Highway 12/18) into Madison. Take the Park Street exit and merge onto Park Street. You will be heading north. Drive for approximately two miles, passing West Washington Avenue. Turn left onto Chandler Street and then take the first right onto Brooks Street. Turn right at the Emergency Services entrance from Brooks Street. Parking is available right next to the main ED entrance for patient convenience.

From the West

Take the Beltline (Highway 12/18) into Madison. Take the second Fish Hatchery Road exit (north). At the end of Fish Hatchery Road make a left turn onto Park Street. You will be heading north. Drive for approximately two miles, passing West Washington Avenue. Turn left onto Chandler Street and then take the first right onto Brooks Street. Turn right at the Emergency Services entrance from Brooks Street. Parking is available right next to the main ED entrance for patient convenience.

From the North

If you are coming into Madison from Interstate 90/94, take the Highway 51 exit (Stoughton Road) at Token Creek. Head south on Highway 51. After passing Madison Area Technical College on your right, turn right on East Washington Avenue. Drive along East Washington for approximately three miles. Turn right on Paterson Street after Breese Stevens Field Park. Drive four blocks and turn left onto Gorham Street. You will drive past State Street and Gorham will become University Avenue.

At the Park Street Intersection, turn left. After the Regent Street intersection, turn right into the Emergency Department entrance. Parking is available right next to the main entrance for patient convenience.

From the South

If you are coming into Madison from Highway 18/151, this highway will turn into Verona Road. Continue to take Verona Road until you reach the Beltline (Highway 12/18). Take Highway 12/18 east. While on the highway, exit north at the Park Street exit. Make a left turn onto Park Street. Drive for approximately two miles, passing West Washington Avenue. Turn left onto Chandler Street and then take the first right onto Brooks Street. Turn right at the Emergency Services entrance from Brooks Street. Parking is available right next to the main ED entrance for patient convenience..

Parking

Parking Ramp construction is currently underway. Please drive slowly through the ramp and use extreme caution around pedestrians and ramp maintenance crews. We encourage you to plan for additional time to park and utilize the free Valet Services when available.

Access to ramp parking at UnityPoint Health – Meriter is available from South Brooks Street. All patients and immediate family receive free parking with a validated ticket. Parking validations are available at Guest Services or the Information Desk in the Main Lobby. Additional visitors may park in the ramp at standard parking rates.

Valet Services

Valet Services are conveniently offered at the front entrance of the hospital weekdays, 6:00AM – 4:30PM.

Valet is a free service to patients and immediate family who obtain a validated parking pass at Guest Services or the Information Desk in the Main Lobby. Additional visitors may use valet at standard parking rates. For after-hours vehicle-retrieval, please visit the Information or Security Desk in the Main Lobby for details. Otherwise, Valet will store vehicles overnight.

Persons arriving who are symptomatic or COVID+ should self-park.

Walking Route

Being with a loved one who has been hospitalized for extended periods of time can be stressful. We encourage you to take time for yourself during these long visits. A short walk can help improve your emotional and physical well-being. For your convenience, we have put together a map of outdoor walking routes. Routes are mapped in 1/2 mile, 1 mile and 2.5 mile increments.
