A new care model

Conveniently located on 20 acres in Pinnacle Prairie, the area's fastest-growing retail center, the new campus will provide patient-centered, coordinated, comprehensive care in one location (more pictures below). Instead of asking patients to travel to multiple providers and clinics in the metro area, Prairie Parkway will offer a full range of services in a 90,000-square-foot anchor building.

Prairie Parkway is not a hospital. The focus is on outpatient preventive care – keeping people out of the hospital to minimize the need for inpatient beds. United Medical Park will continue operating in its current location as a stronghold for ambulatory surgery, specialty care and urgent care.

As part of Allen Hospital's commitment to convenient and coordinated care, Prairie Parkway will offer same-day coordination among multiple clinics and providers. Care coordinators will help patients schedule on-site follow-up appointments and any needed referrals before they leave campus. This coordinated approach also will improve communication among physicians and providers and help them provide more efficient, effective care.
