Move Well, Live Well
Move Well, Live Well is a program designed by a movement assessment certified physical therapist with the goal of injury risk reduction in active individuals. This is achieved by developing relationships with medical and fitness professionals to ensure clients are moving appropriately and without compensation leading to a reduction in their risk of injury. If individuals are able to move well, including without pain or injury, they will move more often resulting in decreased obesity, improved fitness, and overall improved health and well-being.
A physical therapist works with a client and/or a fitness professional as a team to assess your movement profile before starting a workout program. The 15-minute Functional Movement screening process provides them with information necessary to allow the development of an individualized program. As you work to improve your movement profile, you will progress under the guidance of the fitness professional to develop your workout program with less risk of injury.
