The hospital's goal is to maintain an attractive blend of benefits to meet our employee's needs.
CMH offers competitive wages at levels similar to that of hospitals in the Midwest. A structured pay scale is offered to compensate for experience and educational background plus an annual evaluation and potential market adjustment increase once per year. Pay periods are two weeks in length with payday occurring every other Friday – so employees are paid 26 times a year.
A Paid Time Off (PTO) program is offered to all full- and part-time employees. PTO is a time-off-with-pay program to provide the freedom to decide how to use their personal time off. It combines sick leave, personal days, vacation days, and holidays into a "bank" of paid time off that individual employees may draw on when they wish to schedule time off.
Health and Dental Insurance
Group health and dental insurance plans are available to all full-time employees and part-time employees working 32 or more hours per pay period. Insurance coverage begins on the first day of the first month following your date of employment.
One times an employee's annual salary life insurance coverage is provided by the hospital for all full-time (64 hours or more per pay period) employees and a $10,000 life insurance policy is available for part-time (32-63.99 hours per pay period) employees. Employees also have the option of enrolling in additional supplemental life insurance. PRN status and temporary employees are not eligible.
Long-Term Disability Insurance
Full-time (64 or more hours per pay period) and part-time employees (32-63.99 or more per pay period) are automatically provided long-term disability insurance. Employees can also enroll in a voluntary plan to increase their long-term disability insurance amount.
Short-Term Disability Insurance
Employees who are hired at least 32 hours per pay period are automatically enrolled in short-term disability insurance.
Flexible Benefits Plan
Employees who are budgeted at least 32 hours per pay period may participate in either of the flexible spending account plans. Through this plan, contributions for eligible medical expenses and dependent care may be deducted from your paycheck on a pre-tax basis.
CMH provides a 401(k) plan, administered by Fidelity Investments. Employees may opt to defer a percentage of their earnings into the plan, and CMH also provides a company match.
The purpose of the wellness program is to encourage and reward employees for living healthy lifestyles. CMH provides many activities to promote wellness, including:
- A voluntary wellness program offering insurance premium discounts
- Free flu shot, annual wellness screenings and health risk assessment
- Sessions on a variety of health and wellness topics presented by internal and external professionals.
