Beginning May 6, 2020, UnityPoint Health will test all patients admitted to our hospitals for COVID-19. This includes planned admissions and transfers of all ages who have not been tested for COVID-19 in the prior 72 hours.

Please Call Ahead Before Any Visit & Wear a Mask or Face Covering

To reduce community spread of COVID-19, we're asking all patients to please call ahead before visiting a clinic. If you have an appointment at a UnityPoint Health location, please wear a mask or face covering except for children under two years old, anyone who has trouble breathing, is unconscious, incapacitated or unable to remove the mask without assistance.

If you have a medical emergency, please call 911.

We've made a few changes, so be sure to check clinic closings and restrictions before calling.

Care for COVID-19 Exposure or Symptoms

If you have symptoms including fever, cough and/or difficulty breathing, and you have had contact with a person with COVID-19, please call (800) 424-3258 before visiting a medical facility. You'll go through an assessment over the phone, which will help protect others from possible exposure to the virus.

Care Options for Everything Else

If you need treatment for something other than COVID-19, we've got your back. Take advantage of Virtual Urgent Care, or find a walk-in clinic near you.

Virtual Urgent Care

See a doctor anytime, anywhere from a computer, smartphone or tablet with UnityPoint Health Virtual Care. The cost of an Urgent Care visit is $39 or less, depending on your insurance. This service provides treatment for conditions like sinus infections, rashes, urinary tract infections, allergies and other illnesses. If your provider writes a prescription, it's automatically sent to the pharmacy of your choice.

Walk-In Clinics

Not interested in Virtual Urgent Care? You can get the care you need at one of our walk-in care locations. Simply call ahead to the clinic listed below. We've made some changes, so check our clinic closings and restrictions before you go.

Primary Care & Pediatric Options

We've expanded our primary care and pediatric services at select clinics to include scheduled visits over the phone or by video. We've also launched a new texting platform which creates a virtual waiting room for appointments that require a clinic visit.

If you have a non-urgent health concern and would like to talk to your primary care provider, please call your clinic during normal business hours to see if a video or telephone visit can be scheduled.

To learn more, view our Primary Care During COVID-19 page.

Emergency Department

Our Emergency Department is working to minimize patients' face-to-face contact with non-clinical team members, including our patient registration personnel. If you come to the ED at this time, registration will be conducted remotely using your cell phone. We have alternative options for patients without a cell phone.

Still Not Sure What to Do?

If you still aren't sure where to go for care, or if you have other questions, you can always call your primary care clinic, or message your doctor directly with the MyUnityPoint patient portal.

If you don't have a primary care doctor, our MyNurse hotline stands ready to help answer your questions. MyUnityPoint Nurse is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Call (800) 424-3258 to be connected right now.
