Meet one of OUR healthcare HEROES

Racquel Frese, Director of Acute Care Services, would not call herself a hero, but it is a title she has earned. As a member of the UnityPoint Health - Trinity leadership team, Racquel has dedicated her time and energy to protect and inspire her team to ensure they have the tools and mindset needed to provide our patients with the best care.

Since the beginning of the crisis, Racquel’s children have been living with their father. Over the last seven weeks, she has only been able to see them through live video. “It is a huge sacrifice,” said Racquel. “I miss them every minute of the day, but knowing they are safe has given me comfort and allowed me to focus on the health and safety of my staff and our patients.”

At Trinity, our patients remain at the forefront of every challenge we face. “While others stay home, our team comes to work and faces things that are very scary,” said Racquel. “They show up every day with a smile on their face and a positive attitude, not because they have to, but because it is what they were called to do.”

Trinity Health Foundation established the Trinity Healthcare Crisis Fund to support heroes, like Racquel and her team. YOUR donation immediately impacts the lives of our brave men and women serving to keep YOU and our community healthy.

“We are so thankful for the kindness and compassion our community has shown us through donations to this fund,” said Racquel. “The Crisis Fund has provided so many thoughtful gifts such as meals, gift cards, and PPE for my team. Knowing the community is behind us, and having the PPE needed for every shift is a priceless gift.”

To continue to persevere and support Trinity, we need your support. Your donation today makes an immense difference. Every gift reminds team members, like Racquel, that you stand with them.

Trinity is prepared to move forward with every challenge, and we are confident in our people and our organization. “I am proud of my team,” said Racquel. “Everyone has pulled together with grace and determination to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our patients and community members."

We know we will get through this together, stronger than ever.
