For Educators

If you have a student or work with an athlete with negative body image issues or who is showing signs of an eating disorder, you may be able to reach out to the individual, their friends and/or their family. Your support and guidance can play a significant role in their healthy recovery.

Below are links from the National Eating Disorders Association and the National Association for Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders with articles, toolkits and even a program designed to assist school personnel in handling the issues of eating disorders among students.

You will also find many useful articles on our About Eating Disorders page. We encourage you to start there and augment your reading with the resources covered here.

Amy's Gift is happy to mail information packets to any school and is also available to come in to give presentations for students and school personnel. For more information, to request a packet or schedule a presentation please contact us.
