Dr. Hoffman serves as the Director for the Quad Cities Rapid Recovery Program. Dr. Hoffman performs over six hundred total joint procedures a year and also successfully perform total joint replacement procedures in an outpatient setting. Dr. Hoffman is a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and holds a degree in medicine from the University of Wisconsin at Madison, where he served his internship and residency in orthopedic surgery. He completed a fellowship in sports medicine at the University of Toronto in Ontario, Canada. As one of the founding members of the Orthopedic Physician Collaborative, Dr. Hoffman was instrumental in the design of the rapid recovery program. Greater than 80% of Dr. Hoffman's knee and hip replacement surgery patients go home the day after surgery.

Dr. Edward Connolly completed his medical education at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine (1990), and his residency in orthopedic surgery at Akron General Medical Center (1995).   Dr. Connolly completed a fellowship in orthopedic trauma and reconstruction at University of California Davis Medical Center (1996). Dr. Connolly specializes in orthopedic trauma and reconstruction, with an interest in arthroscopic and joint replacement surgery, as well as fracture care.   Dr. Connolly is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, and is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the Mid-America Orthopaedic Association. Dr. Mendel earned both his undergraduate and medical degrees from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA. After graduation, Dr. Mendel completed his internship and residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and then completed a fellowship in foot and ankle surgery (including adult reconstruction and sports injuries) with Roger Mann, MD in San Francisco, CA. Dr. Mendel has also attained his additional certification in Sports Medicine and is able to offer athletes of all ages arthroscopic management of sports-related foot, ankle and lower leg injuries. Eighty percent of Dr. Mendel's knee replacement patients go home within 2 days of surgery.

Dr. Michael Turner graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1981.  He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the Naval Hospital Oakland.   Dr. Turner completed training as a naval flight surgeon at Naval Aerospace Medical Institute in Pensacola, Florida. Dr. Thomas VonGillern graduated from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine, in 1975.  He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at North Carolina Memorial Hospital, University of North Carolina, in 1980.    Dr. VonGillern has special interest in the shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand.  He completed a fellowship in surgery of the upper extremity, hand, and microsurgery at Columbia University, New York. Dr. Steven Boardman received his undergraduate education at Augustana College with a Bachelor of Arts in Premedicine in 1993, and graduated from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine, in 1997.  He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Henry Ford Hospital in 2002.   After completing his residency program, he served as a staff orthopedic surgeon with the United States Air Force at Luke Air Force Base in Arizona. Dr. Boardman has a special interest in treating the shoulder and elbow, hand and wrist, and hip and knee. Dr. Boardman is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a member of the Rock Island County Medical Society, Illinois State Medical Society and American Medical Association.

Dr. Michael Berry grew up in Rock Island, IL and graduated from Southern Illinois University Medical School. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Saint Louis University. After completing his residency, Dr. Berry completed a fellowship at OrthoIndy in Spine Surgery. He specializes in spine care (back and neck) and is currently working with the Orthopedic Collaborative program to identify opportunities for care improvement and cost efficiency in spine care.
