More than 66,000 visits in the first year
New Emergency Room and Heart Center opened in April 2015
Thanks to your generosity, Trinity successfully completed its first-ever fundraising campaign.
The all-new, state-of-the-art Emergency Department/Heart Center was the cornerstone of the campaign, with donors contributing more than $6.4 million in cash gifts to support the new building.
Many donors also stepped forward with planned gifts. Their generous commitments totaled $3.8 million benefiting parish nurses, scholarships, patient medication assistance funds and future areas of greatest need.
An additional $1 million was raised in support of other critical Trinity projects such as renovation of the Rock Island Surgical Center and the Trinity College of Nursing & Health Sciences expansion project.
Strong support for the campaign came from a wide cross-section of donors including physicians, staff, board members, corporations, foundations, community leaders and community members.
Trinity physicians alone donated nearly $2 million and Trinity staff donated more than $1.2 million to the campaign.
A lead gift of $1 million was provided by Larry and Marilyn Matteson, who hoped to inspire many others to give to important causes in the community.
Thank you for support. It made a difference to more than 66,000 patients last year!
