Biography

Gretchen Hong, NP, is an adult medicine and women’s health specialist at UnityPoint Clinic Women’s Health in Dubuque. Hong provides women’s health services for the various stages of a woman’s life, beginning as an adolescent female and beyond.
As a primary care provider, she sees patients for annual physicals, along with chronic and acute conditions. She also delivers gynecology services for women, including any abnormal follow-up from pap results and inserting IUDs. Hong enjoys that she can care for women needing primary care and gynecology services. 
Hong is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. She has been honored multiple times for her excellence as a nurse practitioner. Hong also speaks Spanish to hold conversations and medical discussions with patients, which removes the potential language barriers in health care.
In her free time, Hong loves being a mom to Caden and Elise.
Hong earned her Bachelor’s Degree from University of Iowa and her Master’s Degree in nursing from Columbia University School of Nursing in New York. She is board certified by the National Certification Corporation in women’s health and by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners in adult health. Hong is a skilled provider who saw patients in New York for two years, Pennsylvania for five years and most recently, the Dubuque area.
