"Life is what we make of it. My goal is to help you make the most of yours."
Medical Interests
Laura has experience with a variety of orthopedic conditions. Currently working with Dr. Franta, Laura focuses on shoulders and elbows. In her practice, she helps patients with arthritic conditions and athletic injuries or fractures. Laura provides digital nerve blocks, joint injections and casting/splinting, as well as assisting during surgery.
Medical Philosophy
Laura has always had an interest in medicine. In addition, she was actively involved in sports growing up and those two factors combined to create her attraction to Orthopedics. This was further solidified during her rotation with Dr. Bowers and Jeff Everson while studying at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her patients benefit from her willingness to take the time to discuss their symptoms and get to the bottom of their problem. Laura wants to know the goals of her patients and help them return to their active lifestyle. Helping her patients heal is her ultimate objective and reward.
Personal Interests
An outdoor enthusiast, Laura enjoys biking, running and swimming. She recently completed a half-marathon and enjoys triathlons. Most of all, Laura enjoys spending time with her husband and dog.
