About This ProviderPrint
"My goal is to provide you with the same thoughtful, thorough and compassionate medical care that that I would want for myself and loved ones."
As an adult nurse practitioner, Liz welcomes men and women of all ages for treatment of urgent and chronic issues. Many years of managing chronic disease has fostered her interest in nutrition, exercise and integrative medicine - a practice that combines the best of conventional and alternative therapies to promote spiritual and physical well-being and prevent disease.
Liz respects her clients' rights to make personal medical decisions, and through discussion and education strives to build a collaborative, trusting relationship. It is important to Liz that clients know they are viewed as unique individuals and she hopes they will feel comfortable sharing any aspects of their health in an accepting environment.
Liz enjoys volunteering her evenings at Dodgeville's Community Connections Free Clinic and works to maintain life balance through walking, cross country skiing, gardening, reading, meditation and traveling. She especially cherishes time spent with family, friends and assorted pets on her old farmstead.
About Nurse Practitioners
Adult nurse practitioners are registered nurses with advanced training, national certification and state licensure as independent health care providers. Nurse practitioners work in collaboration with physicians and other members of the health care team. They diagnose and treat patients as well as provide necessary referrals and prescriptions. NPs have an important role to play within the health care system – the core philosophy of the field is individualized care. Nurse practitioners focus on patients’ conditions, as well as the effects of illness on the lives of the patients and their families. NPs make prevention, wellness and patient education their priorities.
