Venous Doppler

This test uses ultrasound (sound waves) to examine the veins in the patient's legs. A small probe is moved over the surface of the leg from the groin to the ankle and over the calf to create images of the major veins in the patient's leg. This test determines the presence of a blood clot in the leg.
