State-of-the-Art Biventricular Pacemaker Offered in Peoria, Illinois

Biventricular Pacemaker

A biventricular pacemaker is designed to treat patients with congestive heart failure or some other condition affecting the heart muscle. In some patients, but not in all, the damaged heart muscle may cause incoordination between the left side and the right side of the heart. Such incoordination can further aggravate heart failure. By pacing both sides of the heart simultaneously, the biventricular pacemaker can resynchronize the left and right sides of the heart, thus improving heart failure.
