What is Kidney Dialysis?

Kidney dialysis is a treatment that removes waste, salt and extra water from your body, something your kidneys normally do when they are healthy. A typical dialysis treatment takes about four hours and is usually needed three days a week. People usually need dialysis to treat:

Carle Health Outpatient Dialysis Center

Carle Health offers on-site dialysis services for patients who need treatment for chronic end stage renal disease (ESRD), in a beautiful, state-of-the-art setting. Carle Health is the only hospital-based outpatient hemodialysis center in central Illinois. The custom designed space holds 14 dialysis stations, personalized amenities, as well as an examination room and an educational conference room. Here's what you can expect:

Dimmable lighting and privacy curtains are just some of the unique features available to meet your individual needs. Top of the line hemodialysis machines are ready for all modalities of treatment, and you can relax in soft leather reclining custom dialysis chairs. Blankets and refreshments are available to accommodate your needs.
