Who is this For?
The Mid-Winter Medical Education Conference is designed for UnityPoint Health physicians and advanced practitioners of all specialties.
The lectures offer a variety of educational experiences which may include case studies, panel discussions, and group dialogue. The program is comprised of seven half-day sessions and topics are based on identified educational needs as well as attendees' interests and expertise. The objective of the conference is to offer UnityPoint Health providers with current evidence-based, valid and reliable practice information along with the opportunity to network and interact their fellow UnityPoint Health colleagues who are confronted with similar practice challenges and clinical questions.
UnityPoint Health has discounted rates 3 days prior and post conference dates based on availability. A discounted resort fee of $30/night (regularly $40/night) has also been secured. Reservations must be made by January 17, 2024 to receive the discounted rate. Availability is limited. To make your reservation, you can use the Reservation Passkey or contact the Reservations Department at 800-855-2000 or the Global Reservations Centre at 800-441-1414.
In celebrating forty-six years, the Mid-Winter Medical Education Conference has provided UnityPoint Health practicing physicians and advanced practice providers an opportunity to share professional practice concepts with colleagues in practice and academic settings. “I had a wonderful time in Hawaii at the conference. It was a perfect balance of learning and relaxation and I came back energized with lots of ideas to incorporate into my practice. I also got to meet many other UnityPoint providers and build connections that would not have been possible without this conference."
Jeremy Cordes, DO, PharmD
"This conference was a great experience both professionally and personally. I was exposed to many topics I would not normally see in a typical internal medicine conference. It was also wonderful to meet providers from different regions. Not only was it nice to be in-person but this was a great networking experience. There were a lot of leaders from different regions with opportunities to learn different management styles. A lot of friendships were made there that continue to this day. It goes without saying that being in Hawaii was a much-needed break from the everyday grind."
- Jon Senkler, DO
"I found the Hawaii conference to be an outstanding experience. A perfect mix of learning and relaxation. The location is incredible, really allowing us to relax and recharge! We hope to make this a priority in the future. As physicians, we need to take care of ourselves and each other. The Hawaii conference is a fantastic opportunity that UnityPoint provides, to collaborate with colleagues, while also taking the time so desperately needed to ensure our own wellness."
