Vaccine Education

Remarkable efforts to develop effective vaccines have significantly minimized or eliminated awful diseases such as Polio, Rubella, Mumps, Whooping Cough and more. Thanks to amazing work by medical scientists, effective vaccines have been used for decades – and our local partners will tell you about it below.
The spread of misinformation during the COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in many being uncertain about the need and effectiveness of vaccines. UnityPoint Health and other community partners are teaming up to provide education and underscore the importance of regular immunizations for people of all ages.
We're urging everyone in Marshall and surrounding counties to ensure that you, your family and friends are protected by getting all the vaccinations recommend by your primary care provider.
If you don't have a primary care provider, the Marshall County Health Department can help. Call it at (641) 844-2799, stop by the office at 101 East Main Street in Marshalltown, or visit the public health department online.
