The NICU staff was GREAT at caring for our son
Our son was born 6 weeks early. I spent 3 weeks prior to him being born at Meriter. During my 3 week stay, the doctors and nurses couldn't have been more wonderful. They not only accommodated me but my husband as well. They all made sure we both were comfortable and answered any concerns we had. They were more then willing to do anything I asked for, even getting me drinks, medicine, or adjusting the temp in the room! I had so many nurses, it's impossible to name them all, but I hope they remember me because I'll never forget any if them! After my son was born, my husband and I commuted every other day to the Hospital to be with him. We live 2 hours from Meriter and have a 6 year old at home. The NICU staff was GREAT at caring for our son. I called every 3 to 4 hours around the clock every single day to check on him and his nurses were always able to take my call or call back within 30 mins. We can't thank everyone who had a part in our experience enough for everything they have done to make a hard situation a lot easier on our family. Our son is doing great and was discharged from the NICU after spending 30 days there. He is growing and developing quite the little personality! I included a little picture of our boy here with my story so hopefully you can see how well Landenn is doing. Thank you all again from the bottom of our hearts. No one can understand the feeling of fear when you have to leave your child in the care of strangers, but I'm so glad we put our confidence and trust in all of you.
