Creating a #HealthyMadison
Random Acts of Wellness
We've all heard of a Random Act of Kindness, when you spontaneously do a kind act to help someone else. This is the same idea with a twist - an unexpected act to improve someone's health and well-being.
Why? As Madison's community health system, we don't just want to be there for you when you're sick; we want to help our community be healthy. It's why we're partnering with organizations like Hy-Vee to encourage people to live healthier and happier lives. We're creating a #HealthyMadison one random act of wellness at a time.
Commit your own Random Act of Wellness
Help us create a #HealthyMadison - it's easy! Here are just a few ideas to get you started.
- Take your friend (and their dog) out for a walk
- Bring in a healthy salad to share at the office
- Help your neighbors tend to their garden or give them some of your garden goodies
- Donate some nutritious items to a local food pantry
- Secretly pick up the tab for someone else at your fitness class
- Organize a lunchtime stroll with your co-workers
Did you commit a random act of wellness? Share it on social media with the hashtag #HealthyMadison

Creating a #HealthyMadison together
UnityPoint Health – Meriter is proud to be Dane County's community health system. A not-for-profit led by a community Board of Directors, our organization's mission is clear: improve the health of the people and communities we serve.
We're driven to meet the needs that are often overlooked through various innovative and community-based programs, often partnering with other local organizations to meet the needs of all our community members. Whether it be REAP Food Group, the Madison Fire Department or Allied Drive's
Mothers in the Neighborhood, we know we can accomplish much more by working together.
