Kybella is an injectable used to treat fat below the chin. It has been clinically shown to give patients a sharper, more defined chin. Patients are typically between the ages of 19 and 65; to determine if you are a good candidate for Kybella, schedule a complimentary consultation with the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery team.

Dissolve a Double-Chin
The stubborn "double chin" is one of the hardest things to get rid of—despite diet, exercise, or overall weight loss.
Kybella consists of deoxycholic acid, a fat-absorbing substance naturally found in our bodies. The molecule destroys fat cells, preventing fat from accumulating again in the future. When injected properly, all other soft tissue is left healthy and intact.
Kybella is injected directly into the fat under the chin. Each session, consisting of 12–20 small injections, is tailored specifically to the patient's unique body structure and treatment goals. Treatments take place at our Monona Clinic, with each session lasting approximately 20 minutes. Patients are able to return immediately to their normal activities. Some minor swelling, redness or bruising may occur, but will start to fade within days of treatment.
To achieve optimal results, patients should commit to about two to four treatments, spaced 1–2 months apart. Many patients begin to notice results after as little as one treatment. Results are permanent, despite any future weight gain.
