Code of Ethics
To ensure that Meriter Foundation merits the respect, trust and full confidence of donors, prospective donors and the general public, all contributors have the right to be informed of Meriter Foundation's mission, the intended use of donated resources, and assurance that their gift(s) will be used for such purpose. Additionally, donors have the right to be informed of Meriter Foundation's governing board membership, and to expect the board to exercise prudent judgment in its stewardship responsibilities.
Donors will receive appropriate acknowledgement and be assured that information about their donation is handled with respect and confidentiality. Relationships with donors and individuals representing Meriter Foundation will be professional in nature and donors will be informed whether those seeking donations are employees, volunteers or hired solicitors. Donors should feel free to ask questions when making a donation and receive prompt, truthful and forthright answers.
