How Our Specialty Pharmacy Works

Ordering Process, Support and Education

  1. Shortly after we verify insurance a UnityPoint at Home Care Coordinator will call you to provide education and explanation about our process.
  2. The coordinator will provide our contact information, explain our ordering and delivery processes and discuss insurance copays.
  3. Your education doesn't stop there. If you need assistance learning how to administer your medication, a nurse is available to teach you in person.
  4. Your medication is delivered within three business days to your home.

Always There for You

A patient care coordinator is on call during business hours to answer any questions you might have about your prescription. He or she works closely with the rest of your health care team to make sure you are getting the best care possible. Your care coordinator can also connect you with community resources that may be beneficial to your care.

Billing Process

At UnityPoint at Home Specialty Pharmacy, we do our best to provide financial assistance to ensure our patients get the medications they need.
