Healthy Lifestyle Challenge - learn more at August 26 info session

If reaching your healthy weight and improving your key numbers for good health is your goal, the Live Well Healthy Lifestyle Challenge is for you! Based on sound medical and health guidance, the Lifestyle Challenge is led by experienced dietitians and cardiac nurses who guide participants through small group learning sessions, individual health coaching, and weekly weigh-ins. This class does not emphasize "dieting" but a lifestyle change that supports healthy weight, blood sugar, blood pressure, and cholesterol numbers. As a group, class members will complete the Intuitive Eating Workbook, guided by GCMH registered dietitian-nutritionist Wendy Brewer. Health coaching from knowledgeable medical professionals, regular weigh-ins, and plenty of support guide participants through the twelve-week program.

A  free preview session of the course will be held Monday, August 26, 5:30 p.m. in the hospital's Education Room.  The Lifestyle Challenge begins on Monday, September 9, also at 5:30 p.m. Classes conclude in early December. Class registration includes a free adult membership at the Grundy Family YMCA throughout the class.
