2021 Employee Giving Campaign

Your Passion. Our Purpose.

Every day, you make an impact for the patients and families we serve, as well as for our UnityPoint Health - Grinnell teammates. You have the opportunity to continue that impact through our Employee Giving Campaign (EGC).

The EGC is a chance for us to come together in philanthropy to impact the lives of the team members, patients and families we serve. 100% of your donation stays local and goes directly to the area you designate. Giving is easy! Find your passion - make a difference!

Find Your Passion: We've identified projects primed to make a difference at UnityPoint Health - Grinnell. Choose a project close to your heart and rally your cause.

Make A Gift: Giving is simple with these options:

  • One-time cash gift or payroll deduction

  • Recurring payroll deductions

You can download and complete your giving form or choose to make your donation online.

See Your Impact: Every gift you make starts something remarkable. Follow along with your impact and see the lives your gift touches. Each gift, no matter the amount, makes a huge difference for our patients, families and team members.

Passion Area: New Medical Equipment

New medical equipment can provide life-saving, safe patient-handling equipment to increase comfort for our patients and equip GRMC to provide a healthier, more ergonomic working environment for our team members.

IMPACT: The 2019 EGC funded new patient chairs for Med/Surg. The chairs provided comfort for patients, offering a number of recline and flat bed positions. The recliners promote recovery by helping patients get out of bed faster and provide a comfortable alternative for patients and families.

Passion Area: Compassion Fund

This NEW program to the GRMC Foundation provides support to patients and families beyond what the hospital can provide. Assistance is based on financial needs and responds to the unique circumstances of the patients and families.

IMPACT: Examples: gas cards to travel to appointments, lodging, small equipment and one-time prescriptions. This assistance provides peace of mind and helps reduce stress on patients and families during a challenging time.

Passion Area: Employee Crisis Fund

The Employee Crisis Fund helps meet the immediate, emergency needs of employees who have been impacted by personal crisis such as prolonged illness, death or weather event.

IMPACT: UPH System funded $26,500 to 135 Grinnell employees through the derecho relief cash cards and additional support to employees most effected by the damage. The GRMC Foundation, through the dollars raised by the 2020 EGC, has provided $6,000 to employees for crisis assistance (not related to the derecho) this year.

Passion Area: Area of Greatest Need

Unexpected events happen and may create an unanticipated expense. When you give to unrestricted funds, your donation can help expend them as needs arise.

IMPACT: The OB Department unexpectedly had lights in need of replacement. The support of unrestricted funds helped provide new lighting in the OB rooms, essential to safe-patient care.
