Ears, Nose & Throat (ENT)
Otolaryngology
Commonly called ENT providers, otolaryngologists are experts in the diagnosis, treatment and management of conditions involving the ears, nose, throat, head and neck. The specialization often includes work with hearing loss, sinus problems, allergies, rhinitis, tonsils and some sleep conditions. Our providers care for patients ranging in age from infant to adult.
What Do ENT Providers Treat?
Ears – ENT providers are trained in both the medical and surgical treatment of hearing loss, ear infections, balance disorders, tinnitus (ringing or noise in the ears) and some cranial nerve disorders. Otolaryngologists also manage congenital disorders of the outer and inner ear.
Throat – Otolaryngologists are skilled in managing diseases of the throat, larynx (voice box) and the upper digestive tract or esophagus, including voice and swallowing disorders.
Head and Neck – This area of the body includes the important functions of sight, smell, hearing and the appearance of the face. In the head and neck area, otolaryngologists are trained to treat infections, benign tumors and facial nerve disease or injury.
