The hard work and dedication of this team shows in the outstanding care and individualized treatment plan that each patient receives at the Wendt Center.

Mike Kelly

Mike Kelly is the Wendt Regional Cancer Center Manager and manages the daily activities of the department. Kelly started his career at UnityPoint Health – Finley Hospital as a radiation therapist and over time has moved into several different roles including lead therapist, manager, and director.

Kelly's first love is treating patients – which is why patients and family members may get to know Mike throughout their treatment sessions. Mike explains, "The greatest part about what we do is we make a difference. We get to know our patients very well because we treat patients Monday through Friday for up to eight weeks. We save lives; we improve a patient's quality of life. Our goal is to provide the highest level of care possible in a community setting."

Kelly has been with UnityPoint Health – Finley Hospital for 32 years. The Wendt Center team and patients are what keeps him coming to work every day.
