Wound Healing Services
Finley's Wound & Hyperbaric Center is home to a team of qualified wound specialists who provide individualized care designed to alleviate pain and discomfort and promote healing, including:

Wound Healing
Wounds that fail to heal following four weeks of standard medical care are considered chronic wounds and have the potential to benefit from the specialized wound healing services offered at Finley Wound & Hyperbaric Center.

There are many types of chronic wounds, or wounds that don't heal through conventional treatment methods. The most common types of problem wounds include:
- Patients with non-healing wounds
- Diabetic foot and ankle ulcers
- Chronic venous stasis ulcers (leg ulcers)
- Ischemic ulcers
- Pressure ulcers (decubiti, bed sores)
- Chronic osteomyelitis (bone infection)
- Radiation-related tissue damage
- Any ulcer or wound that persists 4 weeks or more despite medical care
Most non-healing wounds are related to the following health conditions that block one or more of the main requirements for healing, including a good supply of blood, oxygen and nutrients:
- Chronic medical conditions, such as diabetes, high cholesterol, cancer or AIDS
- Congestive heart failure
- Stroke
- Vascular disease
- Venous thrombosis
- Trauma
- Obesity
- Collagen vascular diseases
- Complications associated with surgery and spinal cord injuries
- Renal failure and dialysis
- Chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases (COPD) and other lung diseases
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT)
Wounds need oxygen to heal properly. For most people this is natural process. For some, however, hyperbaric oxygen therapy from Finley Wound & Hyperbaric Center is needed to heal problem wounds that have not responded to previous treatment.
- Venous leg ulcers
- Pressure ulcers (bedsores)
- Diabetic foot and leg ulcers
- Vascular ulcers (ulcers from peripheral arterial disease)
- Surgical wounds
- Wounds associated with cancer or radiation treatment
- Wounds from autoimmune disorders such as lupus or rheumatoid arthritis
- Other hard to heal wounds
- Increases oxygen flow to oxygen-starved areas of the body
- Stimulates cell growth, regeneration and wound healing
- Decreases risk of amputation in the case of diabetic leg or foot wounds
- Increases neural brain function
- Stimulates small blood vessels

You'll be cared for by a team of professional who are dedicated to working with your primary physician to keep you healthy while we treat your problem wound. Finley's Wound & Hyperbaric Center treatment team includes:
- Physicians with advanced training in wound care management
- Nurses trained in the area of chronic wounds
- Technicians who perform non-invasive studies and various therapies
- An experienced staff to assist with appointments, records and insurance processing
- Care for your wound at home as directed by your treatment team
- Eat a healthy diet
- Rest according to instructions
- Take medications as ordered
- Quit or don't start smoking
- Return for your follow-up appointment(s)
Call Your Doctor If You Notice:
- Increased redness, swelling and/or pain around wound
- Increased wound drainage, including pus or cloudy fluid
- A foul odor or abnormal smell
- Fever and chills or general weakness
- Tenderness at or in the area of infected bone
- Wound grows larger or won't heal
