Oncology Navigation Team: Stacey Papacostas, LMSW

Stacey joined the John Stoddard team in January of 2020. Prior to coming to Stoddard, Stacey was an inpatient oncology social worker with the Northwell health system in Manhasset, New York. She is a Licensed Master Social Worker, and graduated with her Masters in Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania in 2016. Stacey has 4 years of experience within the fields of oncology, neurology, and psychiatric care. As an Oncology Social Worker, Stacey specializes in assessing patient's distress and meeting their emotional and psychological needs, as well as connecting them to educational, financial, and transportation resources.

Stacey has been passionate about becoming a medical social worker from a young age, after experiencing first hand the impact of cancer and other health issues on her family. Stacey is dedicated to advocating for, supporting, educating, and encouraging her patients and families during difficult times. Stacey is excited to transition from inpatient work to outpatient, so that she can be there for her patients every step of the way during their journey.
