Iowa Methodist - Maternity Center Tour

We encourage expecting parents to attend the tour of the Iowa Methodist Maternity Center to help prepare for the upcoming birth of their baby. You may schedule a maternity tour during any stage of pregnancy; however we do recommend taking a tour during your first trimester. The Maternity Center Tour are for small groups and last approximately 45 minutes.

Tours are limited to expecting moms and one guest. 

Iowa Methodist Maternity Center is located on the 6th floor of the Powell Wing. Enter through the hospital off of Woodland Avenue located on the south side of the hospital; enter through the doors under the blue awning. Take the Powell elevators up to the 6th floor. You may also use the free hospital parking garage located on the west side of the hospital, park on the third floor of the garage and use the Powell Skywalk to reach Powell elevators. Take the elevators down to the 6th floor. Please wait for the tour guide in the visitor waiting area directly off the elevators. 

If cancellations occur due to no room availability on the Maternity Floor, you will be notified via email or phone call (depending on the contact information provided during registration). Cancellations due to inclement weather can also be found on our website or local news and radio stations.
