Why did you become a provider?
I became a provider because I felt a call to make a difference in the lives of others. While I have been a nurse for 15 years and know the joy of providing patient care, I wanted to advance my education in order to have a greater understanding of the complexities of managing illness. I aim to promote an individual's health through the lifespan and share that knowledge with each patient while working with them to enhance overall well being.
As a provider, what is your medical philosophy?
I am committed to providing the utmost quality for each patient, taking into consideration their individual physical, social, mental and spiritual needs. I am committed to be an advocate for each patient and collaborate with other healthcare providers in order to meet their individualized needs.
What type of care/clinical interests are you most passionate about?
I am passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of my patients both young and old. I truly get excited about every age group as I such such beauty and possibility in every stage of life.
Why did you choose your specialty?
While I have years of experience working within a specialty, I chose to be a family nurse practitioner because it allows me to provide care through a holistic approach. Rather than providing care for a part of the person, I will be providing care for the whole patient.
What qualities best describe the care you provide your patients?
I believe that I am able to empathize with my patients as I take the time to listen to them in order to understand and identify with them. I also believe that my care will be characterized by integrity and compassion as I look to instill hope in people, all while providing confidential care.
Being a healthcare provider, what drives/motivates you each day?
My commitment to do my best every day is my primary motivation. I am so thankful to have this opportunity to partner with patients and be a part of their every season of life. I am compelled to be a positive and present example to my family and community of the joy of serving others.
What is the most important thing patients should know about you and your practice?
I am going to work hard for you and work hard with you to maximize your overall well being. Whether that means health promotion, health education or disease management, you will be met every visit with a team who will put your needs first and work passionately on your behalf to provide patient-centered care.
