About This ClinicPrint
We had a patient (never seen here before) walk into our clinic
yesterday. He was grabbing his chest and had known heart issues. We
called 911 and asked that they not only send an ambulance hot they also
send a paramedic as this person was in acute distress. We monitored him
here in the clinic until the pros arrived.
Dan, the paramedic, took right over, they loaded the patient up,
en route to St. Luke’s Hospital they administered a medication that
slowed the patient’s heart rate down and the patient felt some relief by
the time they reached the hospital. He was kept for observation and
released the next morning. Today, his release day, he showed up at our
clinic thanking us for our fast work and taking such good care of him.
It is not uncommon to call them to our clinic weekly. One of the first
times we had a patient come back and thank us for our care. He was from
out of town with a consulting group and it was good to see him. We are
very thankful for our local ambulance crew!!
