Frequently Asked Questions
Who pays for home healthcare?
Medicare and Medicaid covers most home health needs prescribed by your doctor. Commercial insurances are also available for coverage. If you are in need of home health but do not have commercial insurance and are not eligible for Medicare, give us a call at (319) 369-7990 to see how we can help.
What is a sign that I may need home healthcare?
Do you find yourself unable to leave your home? Does it require a taxing effort to get out of bed in the morning? Did you just have a major surgery and now have a wound to care for? All of these scenarios could justify the need for home healthcare. If you feel you need extra medical assistance in order to remain independent in your home, call your doctor and discuss your options.
Who will be involved in my care?
There are several medical professionals who could be involved in your care depending on your need. If you need medication administration or wound care, it's likely a nurse will come into your home to care for you. If you have recently had knee surgery and need help with getting back on your feet, one of our licensed therapists will be available for physical therapy in your home.
