Social Services

We understand that receiving a cancer diagnosis is much more than simply a medical issue. At St. Luke's, we want to provide you with the support you need while undergoing treatment. St. Luke's has a social worker, with extensive experience working with cancer patients and their families, available to provide support for you and your family. Services provided include:

  • Coping with a cancer diagnosis, treatment and survivorship
  • Assisting caregivers in handling stress
  • Helping children/teens better understand cancer
  • Accessing community resources
  • Handling financial issues

Cancer patients and their families are encouraged to use these services at any time - whether newly diagnosed, undergoing treatment or well into survivorship. Our support staff will also see patients in the hospital or on an outpatient basis.
